There are so many ways to use your gifts at Metro East! You can serve on the worship or tech teams, volunteer in our tots and kids areas, teach Bible classes, help the hospitality team prepare treats and meals, support our student ministry, welcome guests as part of the greeting team, or serve with the missions committee to help those in need. No matter your strengths, there’s a place for you to belong, serve, and use your gifts to encourage the church and those around us.

When we serve, we strengthen the church, support one another, and reflect God’s love in practical ways. Serving not only meets real needs but also helps us grow spiritually, build meaningful relationships, and experience the joy of being part of God’s work together.

Why should I serve?

Serving in the church allows you to use the gifts God has given you to support others, grow in your faith, and be part of what God is doing through the community! Plus, you might get to meet some awesome friends along your journey.

How do I serve with tots or kids?

You can help with kids or tots by signing up to serve, completing the required safety steps, and being willing to love, teach, and care for children in a fun and safe environment. It’s a rewarding way to help raise the next generation to know who Jesus is! 

How do I serve with music/tech?

You can serve in the music and tech teams by letting the church know you’re interested and what skills or experience you have, whether that’s singing, playing an instrument, sound, lighting, or media. We provide training and team support, so you don’t have to be an expert—just willing to learn, serve faithfully, and be part of a team that helps create a meaningful worship experience.

How do I serve with students?

You can serve in student ministry by signing up to serve, completing the required safety steps, and being willing to build relationships, offer encouragement, and help guide students as they grow in their faith.
