Hi! My name is Daniel Hurst, and I serve as the Associate Pastor of Students & Families here at Metro East. I joined the staff in September 2023, and it has been a joy to walk alongside students and families in our church.

Before stepping into ministry full-time, I spent several years working in law enforcement and later in commercial roofing sales. Those seasons shaped my heart for people and leadership, and God used them to clearly call me into ministry. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Friends University.

My wife, Kensi, and I have been married for over a decade, and we are blessed with three kids—Cole, Caroline, and Pete—who keep life full and fun. My passion in ministry is helping students grow in their faith, discover who they are in Christ, and live out the gospel in everyday life. I love seeing God use students to impact their families, schools, and communities, and I’m grateful to be part of what He is doing at Metro East.
