Classes begin February 14
BodyLife is one of the key strategies our church has implemented to help us reach our mission of "connecting with God." Its purpose is to provide children, youth, and adults opportunities to "go deeper" in their faith development through the study of God's Word.
Preschool (Birth - 2 Years)
There is no greater joy than seeing a child fall in love with God's Word. We will be working our way through The Beginning Bible: Timeless Children Stories. Through the Bible stories in this book, children will learn about God's creativity, power, and great plans for us. Most importantly, kids will discover that God loves them and He sent Jesus, who died for our sins. We will have Bible stories, crafts, songs, activities, games, and snacks. Come join in the fun as we bring the Bible to life and learn how to Pray and Play!!
Children (3 Years - 2nd Grade) - AWANA
Sundays 5:00 - 6:45 p.m. The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. They do this while at the same time making it fun! Our Awana ministry is divided into the following four groups:
- Cubbies: 3 & 4 year olds
- Sparks: K through 2nd grade
Elementary (3 Years - 2nd Grade) - Team Kid
Sundays 5:00-6:45 p.m. TeamKID balances high-energy activities and games with high-impact Bible lessons, Scripture memorization, and life application. Includes a missions emphasis in every meeting and utilizes a recognition program that rewards kids for attending meetings, completing Bible-related work, and bringing friends with them.
- Team Kid: 3rd through 6th grade
Youth (6th - 12th Grade)
Adults
Many of us need to experience renewal and change in our lives, Metro East's Body Life program offers classes that are designed to lead us to just such a change. Body Life classes explore one particular biblical, theological, or practical topic in detail throughout the fall semester. Course descriptions are listed below. Classes meet from 5:15 to 6:45pm on Sunday evenings beginning on February 14. Between AWANA and Body Life, there is something on Sunday nights for the entire family! We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to be transformed together from the inside-out. Childcare and children's activities are provided during these times.

Safe Haven Marriage

This 8 week course will help you and your spouse understand your relationship in a whole new way. Whether you have been married for years or are just beginning your marital journey, the biblical principles in this book will help you heal and strengthen your marriage by making it emotionally closer and safer than ever before.

Crown Financial Ministries
Facilitated by Vance Garwood. <M11>
This is a 10 week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about stewardship. The mission is to equip you to learn, apply, and teach God’s financial principles so you may know Christ more intimately, be free to serve Him, and help fund the Great Commission. (minimum 5 sign-ups)
Book Fee: $30 per couple or individual.
Effective Parenting in a Defective World
Facilitated by Randy & Eldora Brock. <Building 2 Room 109>
Every day our kids are bombarded with the pressures & influences of society. Parents are left helpless, as every godly principle they teach their children is contradicted by the corrupt principles of this defective world. God has a plan for effectively raising your children and you can learn it in this 8 week study.

Family-Centered Small Group
Facilitated by Jonathan Thorne. <Meets on the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings of each month>
This unique small group is designed to protect and provide encouragement, safety, authenticity, growth and help. It is for parents and their children who would like to focus on the spiritual growth of their family.
Making Your Joy Complete: A Guide to Missional Living
Facilitated by Norm Duncan. <M21>
Learn how to get the most out of the new life Christ gave you. This is not a class to learn a new evangelistic model. This class will discuss allowing mission to impact every area of our lives. Study book: The Bible.
